Future Developments of Automatic Membrane Filter Press
There are a number of developments in various industries regarding the future of automatic filter presses. During a filtration process of a traditional filter press, the filter chambers of the filter press cannot always be the same in terms of the degree of cake formation. The imbalances among filter cakes formed in the filter chambers will cause plates deformation, and sometimes lead to plate brakeage. Fully automatic membrane filter presses have increased their fields of application and now include sewage sludge treatment.
The membrane filter press treats half the amount of sludge in less than a quarter of the time, in other words the capacity is more than twice that of the traditional filter press. The separated liquid is recycled to the plant, and the dewatered sludge is used on farmland or goes to landfill. For extremely high degrees of dewatering, mainly for waterworks sludge.
In order to meet the increasing demands for higher degrees of dewatering from difficult-to-filter materials, Sino developed a high pressure automatic filter press. The filtration pressure is 1MPa, and the compression pressure is as high as 1.6MPa. The membrane filter plates can be 2,000mm × 2,000mm.
