The Routine Maintenance Of A Filter Press
It is important to have a routine maintenance for a filter press:
Filter cloth maintenance:
1,Should be checked for rips at least once per shift;
2,Should be checked for cleanliness at least once per week and washed as needed, ensuring material does not build up between filter plate and filter cloth; and
3, An automatic wash system can be installed on applications that require frequent washing.
Filter plate maintenance:
1,Should be checked weekly or if filter cloths tear or rip for wear;
2,Filter plates should be repaired if damage is small;
3,Filter plates should be replaced depending on the type and configuration of the filter press.
Plate shifter maintenance:
1,Chain should be lubricated weekly or as needed depending on environmental conditions;
2,Chain should be checked weekly for proper tension.
Hydraulic power unit maintenance:
1,Change oil filters as needed or after every oil change;
2,Perform oil testing every six months;
3,Check calibration of pressure indicators and relief valves yearly.
Feed pump maintenance:
1,Check gland water condition, level, flow, and pressure every shift;
2,Check lubrication of bearings weekly;
3,Perform condition monitoring of pump weekly.
